Weekend Highlights

The long weekend is coming to a close and what a fruitful long weekend it has been!
Here are my higlights:
1. I have been able to run for two of the last three days. Got to do 20 minutes on Saturday and 25 minutes this evening. Evening runs are the best! And I am actually beginning to enjoy running outdoors than in the gym. (I used to prefer the gym because of airconditioning 🙂 )
2. Went to the driving range yesterday morning. My Mom has been, for the longest time, trying to get me to take up golf. My late grandfather, who was an avid golfer, exposed me to it but I never really enjoyed it. My Mom and 11-year old brother have been regulars at the driving range and the local golf course. My Mom says there’s a good chance my sister will take interest if she sees that I’m doing it, too. So that’s why I’ve decided to join them. We even hired a coach to help us with our swings. I didn’t think I would break a sweat but I was majorly sweating 20 minutes into the lesson. I also got blisters on some fingers. Ouch.
Improving on the form a bit. Slowly but surely.
My 11-year old brother has much better form
3. Got to meet the worship music group Citipointe Australia. Was assigned to meet them at Victory Alabang where they led worship for the afternoon services to “bring” them to Victory Ortigas where they were going to lead worship for our 7PM and 830PM services. Had to put the quotation marks there because they actually got to Galleria ahead of us. Couldn’t quite figure out how they got there so fast considering we drove through the same highway.
It was so awesome to have been able to meet them. They’re an energetic bunch who are so passionate about God! And man, do they have mad talent!
That’s Joel Ramsey in front of me, Becky Lucas beside me, her husband Aaron behind her and the rest of the band
Another photo with them
And here’s one of their songs from their latest CD. Enjoy!

Good luck with golfing! It’s such an unnatural thing, I wish I had the patience to learn it though because it seems fun!
