An explanation is in order

Activators, they say, are great starters but poor finishers. I blame the activator theme in me for not being able to keep a blog going for more than a few months. I get lazy, I get stumped. And then there’s Plurk and Twitter, the sites for people who have something to say, in 140 characters or less — micro-blogging for those who can’t seem to find the words.

But although I enjoy micro-blogging, I miss real blogging. Reading my favorite blog makes me a little envious that some people can churn out the words day in and day out just like that. Why can’t I seem to do that?

So, I’m going to give blogging another go. Hopefully, this one’s the charm.

I just found your new blog and saw the link to your favorite blog. I thought, “Oh I want to know who it is so I can start reading it!” I’m so amazed that it was me!! I don’t feel like the greatest blogger, I just keep trying!

Hi, Kathleen! I’ve been reading your blog since I came across it when you joined the Spring Reading Thing in (was it) 07? I’ve never stopped reading since. Sometimes I even like to reread your older entries. I really enjoy reading about your life. Ever since I saw you post photos of your nasty toenail, I thought, “this is a girl after my own heart.” πŸ™‚ Your life and everything that you do (or write about) inspire me. You’re a great girl! πŸ™‚ God bless you!
